Water Management

At Hanwha Techwin, 3,600t of wastewater produced daily from production processes is treated through its own wastewater treatment system.
One of the ways through which we take care resources at Hanwha Techwin is thoroughly controlling how water is used in our production activities. Our monitoring system enables us to track the status of water used and discharged across all our processes. Reduction of water use and increase of wastewater reuse, through optimization of our wastewater treatment system, are also an important part of our effort to protect and conserve this vital natural resource.

Implementation of Wastewater Reuse System

Low-polluted wastewater produced from simple production processes are treated and reused through a water reuse system. This not only cuts the amount of wastewater production and water pollutants released into the environment, but also reduces the overall consumption of water.

Our wastewater treatment system has been now improved by adding procedures for separately collecting and storing low-polluted wastewater from high-polluted wastewater. This has enabled us a considerable saving on the cost of neutralizing agents used in treatment processes.
